Spice Of India Cuerdley

If you ever find yourself cruising down Widnes Road in Warrington and craving bold Indian flavors, Spice Of India Cuerdley is one of those hidden gems that absolutely deserves a stop. Tucked away at WA5 2XD, this restaurant has become a go-to for locals and solo diners looking for comforting, spice-rich meals served with warmth and consistency.

Let’s talk ambiance first. From the moment you step in, there’s a cozy and familiar feel - not overly fancy, but welcoming in all the right ways. It’s fully wheelchair accessible, with thoughtful touches like designated parking, a wide entrance, and comfortable seating that ensures everyone feels at home. Whether you're dining solo after work or grabbing a quick bite with friends, there’s an ease to the layout that adds to the experience.

Now, onto the star of the show: the food. Spice Of India Cuerdley shines with an expansive menu full of crowd-pleasers and flavorful staples. One dish that frequently takes the spotlight is the Tandoori Mix Kebab-smoky, well-marinated, and served sizzling hot, it’s a carnivore’s dream. Pair that with a side of Garlic Naan, and you're off to a flavorful start.

For curry lovers, the Chicken Tikka Bhuna with Pilau Rice is a staple for a reason. The chicken is tender, the gravy thick and spicy with just the right kick, and the rice fragrant enough to eat on its own. Another standout is the Jalfrezi, especially if you're chasing a medium-spice thrill that lingers in the best way possible. If you enjoy seafood, the Prawn Bhuna Puree delivers both texture and deep flavor wrapped in a flaky, slightly crisp base.

Not to be overlooked are the starter selections - a Pickle Tray with bold, tangy notes, Sheek Kebabs that burst with flavor, and the Papadums & Chutney Tray that sets the tone right. They’re not just filler items - these appetizers genuinely feel like the prelude to something special.

But let’s not forget the beverage game here. Spice Of India Cuerdley boasts a great beer selection, and for those seeking a more refined sip, there’s a curated wine list and a decent selection of cocktails and hard liquor. It’s not every day you find a curry house with such a rounded drinks menu - perfect for winding down a long day or kick-starting a relaxed evening.

On the dessert front, those with a sweet tooth won’t be disappointed. There’s a great dessert lineup, and the service staff is more than happy to guide you through options depending on your preference - creamy, nutty, syrupy, you name it.

The service here also deserves a nod. It’s attentive without being overbearing, and the staff seems genuinely interested in making sure you enjoy your meal. There’s an ease in communication, whether you're asking for spice-level adjustments or vegan-friendly recommendations - yes, they offer vegan and vegetarian dishes that are clearly marked and thoughtfully prepared.

Spice Of India Cuerdley also excels in catering to late-night cravings with its late-night food offerings, making it a popular dinner spot for those who dine outside the typical 6-8 pm window. The fact that they offer takeout means you can enjoy all these flavors from the comfort of your own home when you’re not in the mood to dine in.

This isn’t your over-hyped, Instagram-driven spot. It’s more of a reliable, under-the-radar favorite that builds its reputation on consistent quality, warm service, and dishes that pack a punch. If you’re around Warrington and want something hearty, spicy, and cooked with soul, this place gets it right - every single time.

100% would recommend. Local Indian reasturante. Staff very friendly and the food is top quality. The level of service is what you'd expect from an Indian reasturante. No request is an issue. Amazing 5 course deal for £16 something. See pictures.

What a lovely meal. My son and I shared the set menu and added an extra side. Fantastic price for Fantastic food. Service was great with attentive staff. We just turned up and were given a table immediately, however, the place was extremely busy so it's advisable to book.
